Dynamic recrystallization behavior and processing maps of 5CrNiMoV steel during hot deformation

Abstract Hot deformation tests of 5CrNiMoV steel were performed at temperatures 700 to 870 °C and strain rates 0.001 0.1 s −1 using the DIL 805D thermomechanical simulator. The critical volume fraction models Dynamic Recrystallization (DRX) constructed based on work hardening theory. results showed that DRX decreases with increasing temperature decreasing rate, which implies occurs easily higher lower rates. average grain size model was established predict changes during hot deformation. Based processing maps Material Model (DMM) microstructure observation, optimum working parameters for are a 800 °C–870 °C, rate 0.001–0.05 .
